Gordan Nikolitch In 1998 Gordan Nikolitch was appointed Concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra. He has won many international prizes, and has also made a number of recordings. He performs regularly as soloist with the LSO. Gordan Nikolitch plays a 1695 Joseph Guarneri violin. >>more

Evgeny Grach studied with legendary violinists David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan, Igor Bezrodny and later Henrik Szeryng. He is a prize winner at the Wieniawski Competition in Poland and in 1983 he won first prize at the Russian National Competition. Since 1997 Evgeny Grach has been Principal Second violin with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Alexander Sitkovetsky is one of today’s most promising young artists. In January 2000 he signed a long-term recording contract with Angel Records (a part of Capitol/EMI Classics group). Alexander plays a 1753 Guadagnini violin.
Tom Eisner is a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra since 1986 playing under conductors like Solti, Masur, Haitink and Gergiev. He gives recitals with his wife, music journalist and novelist Jessica Duchen.
Yuri Zhislin has a busy career as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader. He won the title of the BBC Radio Two Young Musician of the Year in 1993 and the Dvarionas International Competition in Lithuania in 1989. Yuri's debut recital CD featuring works for violin and viola has been released on the SOMM Recordings label in the Autumn 2005. >>more

Roger Chase was a member of the Nash Ensemble for many years. He has been invited as guest principal viola with every major British orchestra and many others in North America and Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He has made prize-winning records for EMI, CRD, Hyperion, Cala, Virgin and Floating Earth Records. Many works have been inspired and written especially for him, from solo pieces to concertos and chamber works.
Lawrence Power is a member of the Nash Ensemble and is a very busy soloist.

Alexander Zemtsov won prizes at the International Competitions "Classical Legacy" in Moscow in 1995,the Elise Meyer competition in Hamburg in 1997, at the 8th Brahms competition in Austria, in 2001. In 2002 Alexander became Principal Viola with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. >>more

Oleg Kogan In 1989 Oleg Kogan won All Soviet Union Cello Competition. In 1998 he founded the Razumovsky Ensemble of which he is an Artistic Director. In 1996 he was appointed Professor of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Oleg plays a Rugieri Cello of 1685. >>more
David Cohen was born in 1980 into a family of musicians in Belgium in 1994 David joined the Yehudi Menuhin School. Four years later he became a pupil of Oleg Kogan for six years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama winning the Gold Medal on graduation. >>more

Louise Hopkins performed as a soloist in France, Sweden, Switzerland, America, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium and throughout Britain. Louise is an asossiate deputy head of strings(cellos and basses) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Leonid Gorokhov is a distinguished Russian cellist. He studied at the St Petersburg Conservatoire; from there he won a clutch of prizes in both Eastern and Western Europe including the European Prize for Cultural Achievement which "recognises exceptional talent and outstanding artistic accomplishment".>>more
Rinat Ibragimov Studied bass at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow with professor Evgeny Kolosov and conducting with Dmitri Kitaenko. He won first prizes in the All-Union Double Bass Competition in 1984 and in the Giovanni Bottesini International competition in Parma, Italy, in1989.
Formerly principal double bass of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, the Moscow Academy of Ancient Music baroque ensemble, The Soloists of the Moscow Philharmonic, and professor at the Moscow Conservatoire.
Conductor and artistic director of the Moscow Instrumental Capella with whom he regularly appears both as conductor and soloist, he is now principal double bass with the London Symphony Orchestra. >>more

Neil Tarlton studied at the RCM with Adrian Beers. On leaving the College he played for Scottish and Welsh Operas and Northern Sinfonia. His first job was as principal double-bass with the BBC Welsh Orchestra. On returning to London he joined the Philharmonia and was a founding member of the London Double Bass Ensemble, during the life of which he performed on television and radio and at venues including the South Bank and Wigmore Hall, giving many first performances of double-bass repertoire. He also teaches at the Pimlico Specialist Music Course and is principal bass of the Philharmonia. He has transcribed for bass the Sevcik op 2 School of Bowing Technique. >>more

Benjamin Frith won the Gold Medal at the 1989 Arthur Rubinstein piano Masters Competition in Israel as well as a top prize at the Busoni International Piano Competition in Italy. Benjamin is well known for his extensive number of recordings for amongst others the Naxos Label and combines his busy international solo career with chamber music. He is a professor at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Polina Kogan studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. After gaining the degree of Master of Music (Performance) with Distinction she was invited to teach at the RSAMD. >>more
