Polina
Kogan studied at the Lithuanian Academy
of Music and Royal Scottish Academy of Music
and Drama. After gaining the degree of Master
of Music (Performance) with Distinction she
was invited to teach at the RSAMD. Polina
had lessons with Alfred Brendel, Murray Perrahia
and Vladimir Ashkenazi. She is a winner of the
Prokofiev Award at the Prokofiev International
Competition in St Petersburg, the First Prize
at BPSE Competition in London and the Second
prize at the Anton Rubinstein Competition in
Israel. Polina has performed solo and as a chamber
musician throughout Britain, USA, Israel, Switzerland,
Finland, Poland and the Baltic countries and
has performed concertos with the Royal Scottish
National Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony
Orchestra, the London Soloists Chamber Orchestra
and the Lithuanian National orchestra amongst
others. Polina's performances have been broadcast
on Israel Radio, Classic FM, BBC Radio 3 and
PBC (USA). |
